Fellowship For Intentional Community Organizational MeetingThe FIC holds semi-annual organizational meetings at communities throughout North America. Newcomers are welcome to attend. See below for information on our upcoming meetings. Next Meeting October 30 to November 1, 2009 in Berea, KYJoin us this fall for the FIC's first excursion into the Bluegrass State! We'll be having our fall organizational meetings Oct 30-Nov 1 in Berea KY--home of Sustainable Berea and a work-study college with a reputation for preserving Appalachian culture, and an emphasis on community, sustainability, and inclusivity (it was founded in 1855 as the first racially integrated and coeducational college in the South). We're hoping to share what we know about cooperative living and learn some things in return from what's going on in this regional bastion of cooperative culture. More info on Berea. The organizational meetings will focus on such topics as how to expand our Events program as demand for community is surging, how to better collaborate with sister organizations, how to take best advantage of social networking tools, and adoption of the 2010 budget--where the challenge is how to be seen with a message that's clean when times are lean. We invite you come for as much of the meetings as you can, meet the people who make the Fellowship go, and find out where you might lend a hand at helping build a more cooperative world. There's plenty to be done and there's always room for one more at the table.
