('85, TX) 6 Resident Volunteers, plus 2-4 families in transition
We at San Antonio Catholic Worker House open our home to families
who need temporary housing, and provide a free soup lunch four
times a week to the public. We are committed to consensus decision
making, spiritual pluralism, green revolution (organic gardening,
recycling, and ecological living), discovering and teaching the
simple life, communal living, economic justice, cheap ice cream,
and the revolution that starts with the self. Each community member
is responsible for helping with the day-to-day running of the
house, including cooking, household maintenance, counseling, helping
with the newsletter, and childcare. Each member has the potential
for individually initiated projects, learning Spanish, political
involvement, and tutoring.
